What's /v/ opinion on Okami? Is it better than the Zelda games?
Can't really say, never played a Zelda-game or "Zelda-like" other than this.
But I really, really enjoyed it, easily one of my favourite games of all time.

It has a lot of unskippable cutscenes. Pretty ones too.
Okami is fun.

I played it for the first time in december and thought that it was pretty fucking good
If it had some actual dificulty (I didn't manage to die once) and slightly better pacing it could've been excellent

It came out a month before Twilight Princess. It was the better game. Better combat, story, and the game is easily 5x longer. The fishing is more fun, even.

Okami is one of the few games I'd say to pirate 100% because of how Capcom treated the developers and then went ahead to rape the series in the sequel.
I guarantee you that the original developers obtain no money whatsoever from sales of Okami now.

Okami is SUPER interesting.
I would say Okami is easily the best Zelda game I've played, it's basically as charming and fun as a Zelda game but then proceeds to have a ridiculous amount of content by comparison, like 3 Zelda games worth and then a finale to top it off
