I had the Dreamcast, GC and PS2. The Dreamcast was a hand-me-down from a cousin when the plug was pulled on it so he got an Xbox. The GC was a used one my Mom found for a really good price considering it was only 2002, and the PS2 was a slim one I got in 2004. We weren't rich at all, far from it, but somehow I wound up with plenty of vidya.

Looking back I wish I had gotten a PS2 instead, because it would have been nice to have grown up playing the MGS series rather than playing them all within a short period of time before MGSV's release
I had all three. I've always had a PC and played games on that and generally enjoyed them more, but didn't really get one specifically for gaming until mid 00s. I completely skipped the 360/PS3/Wii generation because of this. I think I made the right choice.
