>re-release of old game

literally never happened

Consider yourself lucky

does Grimrock's "normal, hard, oldschool" choices count?

Earthworm Jim rerelease
>normal mode in the japanese version is easier than normal mode in the english version
>>322308021
New 'N' Tasty had this. Original wasn't even that hard of a mode. Easy was like an invincibility mode.
>You have to beat the game on the hardest difficulty to see the true ending

The original Final Fantasy got some god-tier remake treatment. Both GBA and PSP versions are fan-fucking-tastic. Nothing can save 2 from being fucking garbage besides a from the ground-up remake. Which I don't really trust Squeenix to do.

I would do this to deliberately piss people off.

There were a lot of things they added to later Final Fantasies that weren't in the original that they added in that make the game way too easy. For example, you used to have a limited number of charges for spells instead of a pool of MP. So instead of spamming cure, in dungeons, you'd only could do so a limited number of times. Also, if one of your party members is targeting an enemy that dies, he'll strike at midair instead of hitting another enemy, which meant you had to pay attention to what you were targeting instead of spamming a.

>game grades your performance

>To 100% Shadows of the Damned you have to beat the game separately on each difficulty level
What the fuck Suda. What the fuck do you even do anymore anyways? Hurry up and make No More Heroes 3: Henry's Meltdown or something as good as No More Heroes or Killer7.
Shadows of the Damned was pretty good, but I felt like he hasn't made a great game in a long time.

You guys sound like people who only play a game once, then never touch it again. Maybe you get mad since the hardest difficulty isnt available from the start or neither is the true ending. My friend does this for every single game. He doesn't care if there is a secret ending, etc. From Pokemon, to that South Park game, but he hasn't beat New Vegas since it came out, despite buying it 6 separate times and never finishing any route before...

>Nightmare needs precise min-maxing and use of synergies to actually win
>Insane can only be beaten by turbo autists who make spreadsheets and prepare for everything
>Madness has literally only been won by a dozen or so players through incredible skill, thousands of hours of experience, and luck.
