Fire Emblem is one of those Nintendo franchises where it tends to do better in the west, like Zelda or Metroid.
Keeping in mind it already did pretty well out east.
Regardless, it comes out in two months in America, Nintendo needs to set up a promotional campaign on par with Awakening if it wants to match Awakening's momentum, not to mention critical acclaim on a similar level. Keep in mind Awakening had ads fucking everywhere to rival Splatoon; on television, banners on video game news websites, before every Youtube video, I even saw some on the sides of buses and subway stations in my city.
I want it, but I'm basically not buying it if I can't get the special edition. I'll wait and pirate otherwise. I'm fucking done with this nintendo limited bullshit.

Actually, that's not quite true. There are some maps that are reused, but in terms of story, objective and unit types/placements, they are still pretty different from each other.
For example, chapter 16(?) in Hoshido and chapter 8 in Nohr use the same map, but the whole context and how the map plays out is completely different in both routes.
