If X had no story or characters it would be a really good FF game since it looks really nice and the combat is great.

VII is very boring
Dimensions for Android/IOS is actually pretty good, a cross between mid and high tier. Low points are for the ugly sprites and menu interface but apart from that it's a fairly solid classic style FF game with decent music. The characters and story aren't all that complex though, but they're likable enough.
OP, if XI and XIV don't count then neither does Tactics since it's not a regular single-player entry. You may as well rank Vagrant Story up there since it's retroactively set in Ivalice.
