Wouldn't surprise me DESU
>>322262726
Is just generic chiptune. Not bad, but easy shit to compose.

You just have shit taste.
This is what a good soundtrack sounds like;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3W32h-3EHCg
>>322263320
Pretty sure that was the LISA guy.
>>322264087
Well Undertale was made by one guy, I don't think he can produce SE quality music
>>322264245
didn't pirate, did it all on the demo version
>>322264282
BD OST was composed by one guy only and then performed by his band.
>>322262726
Undertale's music is so good because of how it fits in the game. It's not really meant to just be listened to on it's own.
>>322264282
Hotline Miami 2 music shits all over Undertale.
>>322264282
Bravely Default soundtrack was composed by one guy (Revo) from the band Sound Horizon.
>>322262726
Megalovania is so fucking overrated. There I said it.
>>322264454
lol it's just a 19 year old's soundcloud mix
>>322264696
Almost everyone who's actually played the game agrees. Undertale just has a orbiter fanbase that doesn't care about the actual game like Bloodborne, Persona, Majora's Mask, etc
>>322263320
>it's derivative but ok i guess.
He just has a giant hard-on for leitmotifs. it was really obvious in his tracks for homestuck.
http://undertale.wikia.com/wiki/Undertale_Soundtrack
Look at the far right of the table. Just about every track shares a leitmotif with another.
>that track on the way to asgore's throne
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPCMJC1Ig6s
Why you not post this one, OP.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qF-BGHhEpk8
I personally like Finale, though, in its context. It's hard to listen to it on its own.
>>322264696
It is, just like it was overrated when it was Vriska's Theme. Not enough people knew about it during the earthbound hack for it to be overrated though.
>>322264747
Undertale? Yeah. Music is bland as fuck and all over the place.
>>322264884
He's used Megalovania like 3 times.
>In his Earthbound hack
>In Homestuck
>In Undertale, when it finally got attention, and memes
Also gave it to some guy for an RPG Maker game similar to Earthbound
Yes, Undertale was lightning in a bottle and should be his only game.
I'd like to see him do an actual album.
>>322262726
No, the soundtrack was pretty good but not extremely so, and the rest of the game was also good.
>>322265038
>go through the elevator on the way to the throne to see where it takes me
>it just leads to the other side of the long corridor I just walked down and cuts off the music
>moment completely ruined
Fucking Red Dead Redemption does the exact same thing if you stop to save on Marston's way home for the first ime.
How old are you people because everyone in youtubecomments is 15 or younger and always mentions how they "cried" during the game or got "emotional". What is this bullshit, on my first playthrough I got the darn near impossible Flowey ending and now I'm mad as fuck cause it's such a shit ending. Shitstain ending literally ruined a passable game.
>>322264884
>Hardon for Leitmotifs
You say that like it's a bad thing. The world needs more leitmotifs.
On a side note, Toby did some Homestuck stuff, but I notice a lot of his better stuff is, ironically, the songs that are remixing older stuff.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyDdV8eIHGE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NACWZBDtN8
Malcom brown is the better composer, Homestuck wise, at least.
>>322265434
They could be 15 or younger, or just be gigantic pussies
>>322265434
They're people who never played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2 and thus are still sensitive
Speaking of - lots of Toby's music reminds me of PMD stuff.
>>322265434
Old enough to know that judging a game based on youtube comments is a trait exclusive to retards
>>322265436
I didn't mean for it to be a bad thing, leitmotifs are wonderful and I agree they're underused. All this homestuck is making me want to reread it, but I know it wouldn't be worth it.
hell no
>>322265615
Well because my experience doesn't include crying or getting emotional. So I'm asking if I'm just not sensitive to this or is this somethow age related as teens can get quite emotional compared to other ages.
The only thing that made an impact on me was the encounter with Undyne but that was a real manly tears moment, so that's expected of a male.
>>322265930
You got the ending you deserved
>>322266340
Good thing this game explains that you're taking the bullshit route throughtout the course of it. Oh wait. It doesn't. It pretends to slap you on your wrist at the very end ruining any sense of meaningful playability or even a story.
Maybe game designers should read some Bible to understand what redemption is and maybe try to incorporate that?
>>322266952
You get the ending you work for.
>>322265818there's an audio visual version of Homestuck on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQ7JOidKp_xzsrVMGT1QFpjEavSkQMbV0But your enjoyment of it directly correlates with how much you like the voices.
>>322265930

>>322267053
Some people claim it's better than the entire Earthbound series
>>322267483
I certainly like it more than Earthbound
>>322267483
That's a blatant overstatement. And logically flawed, because Toby Fox copied shit from the Mother games. Most PC players are experiencing that kind of ride for the first time. It's really popular with kids for some reason.
>>322267483
It's made it hard for me to suspend my disbelief when playing normal video games where your characters are fighting and massacring dozens of monsters per day but I still have fond memories of Mother 3.
>>322267825
The majority of people who like Earthbound played an emulated version on a PC
>>322268089
>let me tell you how it was for me and my small circle of friends
>>322268089
Agreed, but Undertale still was the first Earthbound-like experience for a lot of people. You don't see games like that on PC.
>>322268172
Yeah dude I'm sure the Mother fanbase is mostly people who play on a SNES with a $200+ cart and also learned Japanese to play the Japanese releases and not a translated ROM

>mfw realized He's my dad is a slowed down version of Goodbye baby
>>322267440
I just can't get into Lisa's soundtrack. Good game, but the music is too fucking weird.
>>322268845
It's more abstract and environmentalistic whereas UT's is a little more generic
I don't like Nyeh Heh Heh/Bonetrousle.Papyrus is my favourite character, though
>>322269129
I like it within the game, I'm glad Toby didn't reuse it a lot like the music gags with Undyne which were pretty funny
>>322267825
I'm playing through Undertale with my nephews and Neice as its the only way I'll give this game any time despite my legit desire to play it.
They enjoy the characters but perhaps its because I've gotten myself stuck reading the dialogue to them(which I've grown tired of and occasionally drop the theatrics or forget whose voice was whose.).
Sans is top favorite among them for shitty jokes and them saying hes lazy like me(those fucks.) and surprisingly Undyne after her cooking scene.
fuck i left for like 5 minutes and now I've lost my train of though....fuck it, long story short my nephews and neice like this game.
>>322269416
Sans is everybody's favorite
>>322269727
Sans is my least favorite
His fanbase doesn't help with that either
>>322269727
Yeah forgot to mention hes my favorite too. Hes like the only normal person in Undertale besides Papyrus who is just overly happy and the dumb friendly guy.
>>322262726
>fruity loops

The music that plays during the final scene before ASGORE always makes me tear up. The story is dumb as fuck, but the music really makes it for me.

>>322269416
I really don't know why kids love the characters so much. I find the game pretty bland overall, but a lot of people think otherwise.
Protect those kids from the cancerous fanbase tho.
>>322267483
It is, Earthbound will forever be the most overrated game of all time
Of course, a game in the spirit of Mother will be overrated as well
>>322270327
>Protect those kids from the cancerous fanbase tho.
Too late, I already sent them my fanfiction
>>322262726
Hopes and dreams is the only one that sounds like there was legitimate effort put into
>>322270004
People who like something should never affect how you feel or think about that thing.
I can still understand you not liking Sans though. Mind explaining why you dont like Sans? Just curious. I feel like hes not around often enough to actually give too much feel for his character to dislike. Only reason I like him is the shitty jokes basically.
All the "character development" he gets to make up for that is through all these fucking fan comics and shit that make him out to be some depressed dude but i just ignore those and focus on whats in the game.
Lately I've been drawn into the world of shitty fandubs of shitty fan comics on youtube since I dont feel like playing games lately and man....none of them are any good. One dude's voice acting seems alright though, Timber puppers. Too bad he seems like a furry but eh, im not here to criticize his dumb lifestyle.
>>322270327
Games not amazing 10/10, I'd say its a solid 7.5 for me so far, might be why I need to have the excuse of "me and kids are playing it" in order for me to muster the will to play through it.
I'll do what I can to keep them from the fanbase but my duties as an Uncle are to keep them entertained, not make them better human beings.
>>322269727
I like Alphys and Papyrus the most. Napstablock too but he's less fleshed out.
>>322271705
I just didn't get the appeal of him.
I know his chill pun shtick and how he's secretly depressed because of the fear of resets but he didn't really get to me as a character I would really enjoy. Same for Alphys.
To be completely honest family, all of the characters are like that, very shallow with a lack of depth. Although that isn't a bad thing in itself, just makes for easy waifu/husbando targets.
>>322272395
Alphys is the fucking worst, Killed all my will to replay the game.
>>322272721
She's called the trash lizard for a reason
>>322272721i think she's cute and i'd watch anime with her
>>322272395
Is it actually in the game that hes actually secretly depressed about the reset thing or is that like a community thing?
I'm basically just sticking to believing things the game just flat out states....which sounds counter intuitive to him being secretly depressed now that I think about it.
Alphys is eh from what I've experienced., I may be playing through with my neice and nephews but I already watched an LP or 2 of the game since I felt I was never actually going to get around to playing it.
>>322272721
theres no 2 replays of the game isnt there? I know the "True" ending starts you off right before the Asgore fight then you go do the true lab shit and you're done right?
So you really only need to put up with Alphys once since I dont think shes in the genocide run right?
>>322273071
>theres no 2 replays of the game isnt there? I know the "True" ending starts you off right before the Asgore fight then you go do the true lab shit and you're done right?
If you did a full pacifist run and hung out with Undyne yes.
>>322273071
>you go do the true lab shit and you're done right?
She's in the epilogue too
>>322273216
Ok, so people complaining about 3 runs of the game are just being stupid right? 2 runs of mostly different stories is acceptable, at least in my eyes.
>>322273219
What happens in the Epilogue? Thats after the Asriel fight and shit?
