Even annual CoD games get 24 months. Anything under 2 years is pretty tight. You should read interviews with Retro devs. I think Mark Pacini or somebody went on record saying he's amazed the game isn't shitty and he'd change a ton of things if he had a chance.

Dark Souls 2 is fucking garbage. Paid like $25 for SotFS, got about 30 hours of playtime in it before i dropped it, and that by no means suggests that it's a good game.
