Little Kuribo's getting roles in minor games like Dynasty Warriors, TeamFourStar appeared in the last DBZ game, and got their foot in the door to voice minor characters in One Piece. i dont watch lets plays. i dont get it. maybe to review a games gameplay, but we all know lets plays are focused more on the pseudo-comedy routine.
obviously they are a huge thing now with kids so to outright ban them is probably overkill. the problem it seems, is that 99% of the time lets play threads devolve into absolute fucking garbage. and so many people have an opinion on them that they are frequently bumped to the front two or three pages and stay there for hours.
now of course i can hide and filter these threads, but more often than not the OP has no indication that it is a lets play thread other than the image. and being unaware of who these people are puts me and all the others who hate lets plays at a disadvantage.
what i think would be the best solution would be to move the threads to /vg/ where you could then make a /insert lets play faggots name here/ thread and atleast consolidate the threads so that there isnt nine different ones. additionally, i think the /vg/ community is probably more receptive to those threads so i think they would probably help the quality of said threads.
tl;dr
move letsplays to /vg/ and/or make a general dedicated to whomever you are talking about and delete repeat threads
