Hey there, buds.

My Razer Deathadder Lefty mouse is fucking up. The scroll wheel is erratically dicks around when I try to use it, so I need a new mouse. I'm also a poorfag and would like to spend under $60. I don't play MOBAs or anything like that. I mostly play FPS games (Doom, Unreal Tournament, CS:GO), but my job also requires that I do video editing and music recording on the computer. So it needs to be responsive and not some piece of shit from Walmart.

My options so far are:
Another Lefty Deathadder for $54
Razer Taipan Battlefield 4 edition for $50
Razer Taipain from some shady ebay seller for $45
Steel Series Sensei Raw for $40

Any other suggestions or opinions? Thanks in advance.

I have this, a Logitech G600, and I love it. It's about $45 on Amazon right now.

OP here, thanks for the response, but I'm a lefty, so I couldn't use all of those neato side buttons.

Ah, that's unfortunate. Sorry I couldn't help.
>>
>>322209596
everyone knows it goes this way

all around -> g502 logitech
FPS -> M65 corsair
mmo -> razer naga
for the looks -> mamba chrome or castor myonix
wireless -> sensei steelseries (this mouse is on a whole other level, no other wireless mouse comes close)

shit OP is lefty and I just recommended mouses for right-handed people, except the sensei

Mouse with the left, use whole numpad for controls. It's a great world to live in, man. Try it out sometime.

Nah, it helps, man. That Steelseries Sensei Raw is wired but still seems pretty kickass. Thank you, bud
>>
>>322211993
is one of the best I've used, but the m65 corsairs are top notch. Nothing beats that metal base

Do they make it in lefty or ambi though?

OP here. Since most don't see the big detail here, I'm a goddamn left handed person. I'm willing to compromise and use an ambidextrous, since it seems that the lefty Deathadder (and all Deathadders for that matter) has a problem where the scroll wheel eventually dies, as do the click buttons.

The Sensei Raw is looking to be the best bet at being ambi, similar thumb buttons to deathadder, and only 40 dollars. Anyone care to give other suggestions?
>>
>>322212462
Well. I can't advice on lefty mouse since I haven't used any of them before.
>>
>>322209596
OP you should look up a few terms:

malfunction speed
acceleration/reverse acceleration
angle snapping/prediction
smoothing
DPI
Laser vs optical

If you can't be bothered, buy a zowie ZA series. They're ambidextrous optical mice and there's several options for size.
>>
>>322212334
>not playing at 300 dpi
>>
>>322212583
From what I've found there are only 2 or 3 left handed mouses. So it's definitely an ambidextrous mouse I'll have to go with.
>>
>>322212462
go with sensei
>>
>>322212657
I know 4 out of those 6 offhand, and I don't try to be a pro gamer by any means. I just want something that's at least descent for under 60ish dollars. Thanks for the recommendation too

>buying into the magical dpi buzzword
beyond what is personally comfortable to use, the mouse really doesn't matter. i found that the quality of the mousepad matters a whole heck of a lot more.
>>
>>322212658
not that guy, but why would one play at low dpi? just curious since I've always heard about the higher, the better if you can master it
>>
>>322212243
I'm tempted to swap my Deathadder for a MS 1.1a. We used them in school and they fit into your hand like a fucking glove. I have no idea why companies started doing all the ergonomic bullshit when they found the best design years ago.
>>
>>322212842
what is the best mousepad then?
>>
>>322212867
> I've always heard about the higher, the better if you can master it
fuck no
higher DPI means less accuracy per inch you move

lower dpi means more accuracy per inch you move, but it results in overall slower movement
>>
That girl is pretty hot. Shame she was statistically likely to have raped and killed by niggers.
>>
>>322213068
It's all about finding a good middleground for what works with your aiming AND what game you're playing. Essentially, higher DOES NOT mean better
>>
>>322213068
>>322213163
So I got it all wrong then, lads. I play at 6-7k dpi but given that my background is as an osu player I feel comfortable that way. What do?

>>
>>322213253
don't buy used shit, mouse quality decays really fast.
>>
>>322213243
Experiment with your mouse. Most mouse manufacturers have optional software for changing DPI and shit like that. Try different ones with different sensitivities and see what works best

Good call, my roody poo

Also, any luck with Squaretrade? My old deathadder started fucking up within two years, so I would have liked to have that protection plan
>>
>>322213330
but what if my current sensitivity is what works best for me? I do pretty good on fps and LoL. Currently top %1 in CoD, and almost diamond on League, I understand what you mean with the dpi thing and I even checked some pro player setting and it looks like you are right, but what about me? What do I do?

Logitech newest mouse has retarded rice for sure. But they sensors they use are still the same from the MX series.

>>
>>322213771
I'm not liking the preseason at all, not sure if I'll make diamond. The top %1 in CoD is guaranteed game after game they release, just not good enough to go pro, nor interested. Thanks for the enlightenment I guess

Seriously has anyone used squaretrade before? It's an extra 4 dollars. It's probably worth it, but don't know if it's trash

Buy a zowie.

leds, macros, and software ruin mice.

I've had this for 2 years, it's pretty good.
>>
>>322213243
Lower is always better as it gives you greater accuracy. It will feel crap first, but try it for a day on a lower setting like 2000 and see if you like it. 2000 is still quite high, but it's much better than 7k.
I used to play at 4k until i lowered it to 1.2k and now i'm at 500dpi. Having to actually put effort into moving your hand is odd at first, but the extra accuracy you get is worth it.
>>
>>322214056
Can confirm, iv gone through fucking bunch of shitty logitech and a steel series, and they all break. Got a OG zowei fk and it's been smooth sailing for years now.
>>
>>322214249
I'm more of a palm grip so I may get the ZA11 if I don't get this Steel Sensei
>>
>>322214317
I know this is just one persons opinion, but the sensei was the worst mouse I ever bought. Garbage experience all around except for the shape, bought the FK after the sensei, no regrets.
