Story mode was fantastic until you beat Scylla, and then all of a sudden they all kinda... turned bland for strat 4, 5 and 6.
Like strat 1, 2 and 3 they were all so lively, talkitive and felt kinda nice watching them explore, but after Demi-Fafnir they all turned dead quiet. It was so bad for strat 6. Kinda felt that they rushed the game past Floor 3
Untold 1 might of had issues with RNG for grimoires and the little blonde shit was annoying but they all felt so alive during all the floors, Ricky was especially cute in Strat 6 multiple times.

I agree that it is, it also might be because it's the first entry on the 3DS and they wanted to attract new blood. The multiple, miniature dungeons and over world also put some long-time fans off.
Personally it's my 2nd favorite after 3.

I'm playing on EO2U Normal right now, and I haven't had too much of an issue playing it so far. I don't know, it's probably got something to do with EO2 being one of the first EO games I played.

This game is balanced around expert.
picnic is for grinding. Normal is easy mode, expert is hard mode.
There is no real "normal" mode.
Expert is what the old EO1-3 was like.

Expert is the proper difficoulty.
EO2 difficoulty was something strange. Force skills and hexers were broken and made every battle a fucking joke, even post game bosses. But if you refused to use them you would get assblasted to the moon easily by enemies with straight up retarded resistances and absurd damage rolls, I still remember laughing out loud when I got 1st turn wiped by one of those fucking turtles in the 4th stratum.
EO2U is not bullshit like EO2, but it's hard no matter what your team composition is.

Thats just a remix of Initial Strike, which kinda felt generic and underwhelming to the battle themes that came after. This feels kinda meh too.
