Yeah BF does have that very simple feel to it. But I've had a blast on it so far. It feels like one of those casual jump in/jump out games which is pretty handy when you have a baby and can get taken away from the game at any minute.

I just quit XIV. I got BLM & BRD to 60 after about 20 days of playing and just think it really isn't for me.
The game just feels like it's meant for weeabos, seriously i have never seen so many kiritos or asunas. sad as shit.
The game doesn't do itself any favours, the help tips were great up until you actually needed them, like what the fuck end game actually is, for crying out loud.
If you want to be a pretty anime girl, go play FF XIV, its the game for you.
I think if i had played end game lvl 50 ARR i would have had a better understanding of HW end game.
I suppose the really key point to this is - if you love anime, you'll love FF XIV. That said, i think SE are going to have real difficulties attracting a new playerbase when you have to force fed anime like story archs just to play the damn game. Then once you're finally through all that they lay different systems at your feet and expect you to already know what they are because 'you played ARR right?'.

Got it as a gift during the sale, it pretty impressive. I love the general atmosphere of the game.
Granted, the game does genuinely fuck you over with RNG no matter how well you plan and no matter how hard you try but I think it drives home the point where no matter how good you are, you're always at risk of getting fucked over by life.
My only real issue with the game right now is that the hunger mechanics are pretty annoying. Seems silly when I feed a hero with food and then suddenly get the event prompt that my party is hungry.
