After playing the SFV beta i just cant go back to SFIV, it felt so nice to play honest street fighter without get out of jail free cards up the ass ruining your day.
The fact that reversals give automatic counter hits is a real stroke of genius for destroying mashers. For all Capcom talk about making SFV newbie friendly the amount of anti scrub tech is crazy.

There is literally 0 point in predicting tier lists right now. Not only has there not yet been enough competition for anyone to form educated predictions, but there has also been a lot of change between betas and there will probably be even more changes before Day 1. To give you an example, Nash was widely considered to be the worst character in beta 2, yet he was near the top in beta 3. Again, it's all preliminary speculation, so none of it matters.

personally, that stuff always annoyed me. You only need like 3 aerial moves anyway - jump-in, cross-up, and air-to-air.
And moves changing depending on distance could get frustrating if you expected to be close enough, but weren't and got a different attack. Much better to just keep the relevant near/far attacks as command normals instead, it's more reliable.

I think the 2017 dlc characters will be Akuma, Sagat, Sakura, Q, for sure. They're popular, and with a little re-designing you can eliminate some of the shoto-clone crossover. Q will have to be re-done as well, since Balrog is in this game.
Then there's certainly room for another "surprise" - Balrog himself isn't actually all that popular, but fits a niche they want filled. So maybe Hakan has a chance? maybe. probably not.
