Honestly I can't think of anything that adds up. Sure Ass creed or CoD defines the majority of the generation but Dark Souls is much better than them, and shows good unique qualities.

It's not even the best game of the year, or its series, let alone the generation.
Definitely is to me, it is in my top 3 games of all time.

It's my secondary/dps/cramped area weapon. My main is the zweihander which my character is now strong enough to wield one-handed. I also have a black knight shield now.

alternatly you could just choose black firebomb for the easy way to get it early. seeing as starter items are pretty trivial it makes sense to do that if you have your heart set on an early hammer (not worth it though)

Meaningless blanket statement, of course people who don't like it are going to stop playing relatively early.
I also know a few people who don't like the game much that gave up after Anor Londo. Even the most hardcore fans admit the game gets worse once you pass that point.

dark souls had kind of shit lore opposed to demon's and bloodborne, less replayability than either because of the structure and length and least memorable and mechanically interesting bosses, plus it suffers the most from being unfinished
