I did play DDO on the beta and for a bit after release.
The MMO cancer runs too deep in it. The combat is fine, however the skill system is asinine and the grab mechanics are not as satisfying. because bosses are damage sponges and more often than not are immune to "climbing damage".
I recommend waiting, anon. it's a hassle to get it working, patched and running. And it's not worth it imo, unless you like the MMO modus operandi of questing and "exploration".

Not him, but it makes sense to me now. After a while I just started equipping with a fashion first sense, even with my weapons and even though I had all kinds of BBI gear.
Of course if I just felt like face rolling some gorecyclopses I'd deck out in proper gear.

Hm. I haven't. Actually the vast majority of posts I see from new players are things like "BBI is too hard (but I haven't gone to Gran Soren yet)" or "How do I get passed these bandits".
Though of course someone could absolutely ruin it for themselves if they rushed a BBI Weapon Lv.1 and went back to Gransys. Haven't actually seen a new player talk about doing that though.
The difficulty ceiling in Gransys is extremely low almost regardless of how you play or equip yourself, though.

Sure, play Sorcerer until you unlock all the augments, then play fighter/warrior until you unlock all the augments, then play Mystic Knight.
After that you'll have a good list of augments to choose from and you shouldn't be over level 30-40. You could just immediately switch to Mk as soon as you're able, but you'll miss out on some good augments that way.

Won't be a problem. Stats aren't a huge deal. Just play the other Vocations long enough to get Acuity, Clout, Articulacy, Sinew, and whatever other Augment you want and you'll be fine.

Probably not. If they didn't fix it in original DA, even though they fixed some MK stats, I doubt they'll change anything for the PC release.
Hell, considering they didn't change it back when DA came around, it makes me think the decrease was intentional.
