I see some stuff is still coming out on PSN, does any PSP stuff go on sale on PSN? Are there any games which are particularly cheap that I should snag off eBay/Amazon?

Jeanne D'Arc is awesome. Patapon kinda sucks, I don't care for rhythm stuff. Metal Gear is odd, I'm not sure if I like it yet.

Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, Chrono Trigger, Corpse Party, Danganronpa, Final Fantasy IV complete collection, Battlefront, Crisis Core are some of my favorites available on the PSP. Seriously though, get a CFW, it's impossibly hard to brick a PSP these days and you have access to the entire library free.

You'd be surprised how easy modding PSP is. The equivalent of putting an .exe on your memory stick by connecting it to a computer, running said .exe (because the PSP will think it's ordinary), said .exe installing itself, and running another .exe whenever you want to activate "unlocked mode". Transferring shit between your PSP and a computer is like doing it with an ordinary USB drive

CFW is extremely easy on the PSP, though.
That said, both God of War games are pretty good (Ghost of Sparta in particular is one of the best games in the series, in my opinion), Daxter is good, Peace Walker is pretty decent and has a ton of content.
Mega Man Powered Up and Dracula X Chronicles are both solid remakes. DXC includes the original version of Rondo of Blood as well as Symphony of the Night.

jsut use youtube for tutorial, get psp games for free, ps1 games for free, gba games for free, even n64 games can be emulated.

I have 6.61 so I installed PRO-C, but I have to do Flash Recovery everytime I turn it on. Everytime I use the flasher it tells me "This installer does not support this model". What's up with that?

Depends on what you want and what FW you're on. ePSP is fairly easy, PSV piracy still isn't a thing but free PSP games +/- emulators is doable depending on firmware.

My friend gave my other friend his old psp 3000 for christmas and loaded it up with a ton of emulators and shit. It's a cozy as fuck handheld. My favorite games for it are Jeanne D'Arc, Burnout legends and Phantasy star portable. I ran so many emulators on it too.

Gran Turismo is good, uses the physics from GT5 for PS3 but the PSP lacks analog buttons of course so throttle and brake control is odd. Also no customization.
The Armored Core Portable titles are great if you're into that. Ignore Formula Front unless setting up the AI Arena in Silent Line was your favorite thing to do. Also avoid Last Raven unless you're a fucking masochist.
Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus is fucking baller as well. No knowledge of moon runes required.
Phantasy Star Portable 1 and 2 are good.
Both Metal Gear Ac!d games are good, Portable Ops is decent, Peace Walker is good.
wipEout Pure and Pulse are both great.
Patapon games are good if you can get into them.
Killzone Liberation is great but hard as fuck.
I've run out of ideas. Also check out PlayStation Minis on PSN. Aero/Rocket Racer is fun. There's also Tetris. Get the biggest memory card you can afford if you're gonna do downloadable titles. Don't modify your PSP with shitty aftermarket face plates like I did. Custom Firmware is always an option if you want to emulate.

Sadly, my power switch is broken or something so I can't turn off the PSP, only put it in sleep mode, so to turn it off I have to go to the home screen and use the CFW debug menu to turn it off.
