What was your favorite this year OP? Definitely Wii U, though I got a Vita and a lot of use out of it, most of what I played on it didn't come out this year.
Console wars will never die because a lot of people love "being on the right side," or they're just poor and jealous. Even when you're an idort you can still have you preferences -- I still don't think the Vita is worth the $20 I paid for it -- but that doesn't mean you have to shitpost the things you don't like.

I'm a Nintendo fan at heart so I've got everything they have but I've also got a Vita and a good PC so it's just a case of letting people enjoy what they enjoy.
I don't have a PS4 as it doesn't really have games I want other than JOJO and BloodBorne.
Course others still want it for what else it has and that's fine.

Currently have a PS4/PS3/Wii U/Gaming PC/360 (That I have not used in awhile) and a Vita/3DS.
Used to have a Xbone, but after Master Chief Collection failed, most of the stuff I wanted got ported over to PC, and a lot of the shit I got excited for get pushed over to late 2016-2017 I pretty much sold it to get a new graphics card for my PC.
Its not a bad multimedia machine (I would argue it is far better then the PS4 when it comes to that), but it is honestly something I really don't need at the moment. Hell, I have barely touched my PS4 this year and primarily played all the major titles on my PC.

People mostly post console wars here because they get easy attention from it.
In a lot of circles, people get REALLY attached to their favorite platform. It probably starts as a poor/jealousy thing but it quickly becomes a strong emotional attachment. Just look at the Playstation affection on Neogaf, for instance. They want their platform of choice to be the best at all costs, because it makes them feel good. Kind of like fighting over sports teams.
