I'm thinking about buying this vita today since it's the last day of ebgames sale.
But it seems like every worthwhile game is also coming out on PS4. Is there any reason to buy a vita in the future year of 2016?

Most of the PS4/Vita multiplats are Vita upscales so you're just paying 50% more for a higher resolution and nothing more.
That said, if there actually is nothing that catches your interest that's already released on Vita then I wouldn't recommend it.

I can only mention as must haves: P4G, GR, disgaeas, ateliers, muramasa, Danganronpas, Ys, the dungeon rpgs and Corpse Party.

It's portable, that's it. Don't buy it for exclusives, buy it for good titles, mainly anime titles, that you can play in bed, or the toilet or whatever.
The machine failed because phones and tablets replaced portable consoles, so if it has games you want to play on a small screen wherever it's great.
Hell Project Diva made my purchase worth it alone, just because rhythm games are a total protable thing to me.

Dragons Crown suffered on vita. Metal Gear Solid HD suffered on Vita. Asscreed games run like turds on Vita. FFX HD ran like ass on Vita.
