I went to Valve when I visited Seattle two years ago.
A lot of the developers are older guys who look desperate to be "hip", and younger hipsters.
It makes sense that they've fallen into the state they've settled into, really.

it's a fun dungeon crawler, and decent entry point to the genre before you step up to Dungeon Travelers 2.
