Pic is pretty accurate aside from 4th and 7th gen. The Genesis was pretty dominant in its own right for arcade-style games at the time, and between the 360 and PS3 it was pretty much a give-and-take matter, and this is coming from someone who prefers their Sony and Nintendo counterparts.
Aside from individual preference, I think it comes down to how much contribution a console had and what they brought to the table for their respective generation.

In terms of quality, Wii was on the bottom. I'm a Nintendofag and I admit this. Last gen had me considering buying a 360. Ultimately I just decided to stop playing so many video games and saved some money.
