Not the anon you're replying too, but I was really unimpressed with the story of V. It's a fun game, don't get me wrong, but there was something about San Andreas that felt fucking awesome. Not just the story either, even just fucking around was more fun. Can't really put my finger on why though. Maybe because it was one of the first open world games that felt huge and also had tons of stuff to do? I don't know. Maybe it's nostalgia goggles.

I really liked the beginning of the game pretty much 10/10 of game for me. But it slowly gets worse and worse for me in terms of the story. Am I the only one that thinks this? I still don't understand why CJ got shit at the end from his brother. Then CJ just says "Yeah, you right" and it ends.
I've grown an unnatural dislike for the franchise because of this entry.

I agree. I wish there was more to do in 5 after you complete the story. The minigames like golfing, tennis, and yoga were pretty dumb in my opinion. They should have spent that time making different more fun mini games.

It's been a while for myself too but the way I remember it is Sweet is giving him shit without even listening to what CJ went through just to get him out of jail. Then CJ just apologizes and the game storyline just ends on that note.

There was a third brother.
He died supposedly because of CJ.
CJ says he can't handle this shit anymore and goes to Liberty City to live the exact same life he claims he couldn't handle, all when his family needed to hold itself together the most.
