Tons of games. I listen to a lot of soundtracks and pick my "favorite games" based on their OSTs, then defend them on /v/ without having played them. I've also picked up games because I like the soundtrack and proceeded to enjoy them regardless of quality because I'd already convinced myself I liked the game.

Yoshi's Island kind of. I did play it, but not a ton. Then I recently replayed it and it's not as good as the ravers claim. Biggest issue would be the unreliable controls. You kind of accelerate too much, you kind of control slippery, and sometimes the fucking flutter jump wouldn't activate when it was supposed to.

I did have that mild disappointment with SMW though. I jumped straight from NES to N64 growing up so I only played it recently and honestly I didn't like it much. It's definitely a well-made platformer from an objective standpoint but I just didn't have fun playing it. But then, the only 2D Mario games I'm particularly attached to are SML2 and SMB3 to a lesser extent.
