The only game I played this year is Bloodborne because I got it for Christmas. I like it so far. Next I'll try out Disgaea 5, MGS5 and Fallout 4. I also pirated Undertale so I can play that when I want.

I like nethack, but I haven't played it much recently. I've got UnNetHack on my phone and I've played some of NetHack 4 which pretty much satisfies my hack itch. I've been playing ADOM's steam release and NEO Scavenger too, which have been a lot of funAnd are more fun to me than original nethack tbqh

I wouldn't call it a strict roguelike but it's more of one than a roguelite. I honestly just have a hard-on for post apocalyptic settings and the game itself is really flexible and free. I couldn't describe it to you well, but the devs have a demo version on their site if you'd like to try it out.

Crypt of the Necrodancer. It's super fun and the music is great. I love just jumping on and doing a run to see how far i can go. Plus its the only game i bought this year that was released this year.
