I always felt like having control of the force is equal to having control over yourself and your emotions. It's why Jedi aren't supposed to fall in love because they lose control over their emotions and then the force is out of balance. If you go down the dark path you might gain more power but you definitely have less control, and it's hard to find that balance.

It has no respect for the player's time, as it is constantly recycling content to pad out the length
No respect for player options, as the controls are all fucking waggle. I don't even mind the sword being motion control, it's just that nearly every single action besides walking is waggle, when it would objectively be more accurate to use the perfectly fine buttons.
No respect for the player's intelligence, as it is constantly bombarding you with hand holding. Fi will routinely pop out and repeat information you just heard 5 seconds ago. And it's not just fi, many puzzles are just ruined by the camera zooming in and focusing on important objects for too long, and tons of NPCs merely exist to be talking tutorials, and they even invade dungeons to hold your hand.
There's lots more I hate about the game, but I find this shit incredibly unforgivable. Obviously not everyone gets so butt hurt over this as I do, some people just ignore it, but I don't think I'll ever buy a zelda game again

They don't let you use the cards you paid for in real life until after you beat the game and even then it costs a ridiculous amount of points for just one card and it doesn't even count towards your completion rate. Plus searching for opponents with that radar system takes way longer than it should and only serves to waste time. The day and night system is poorly implemented, all the good duelists come out at night but you get automatically sent home after it gets too late, meaning you have to waste time again until it's night again. Also because the shadow duelists only come out at night as well and there's no way to track them or guarentee an encounter.There's no point for the home to even be in the game, they should have made it auto-save after every duel and deck construction could've just been in a menu. The GX also has those annoying tests every week that do nothing but waste your time, the only thing you get from beating them is a meaningless title, after that it's just button mashing every week to get through them. Also there are way too many characters that you find around the island that don't duel you until later, there's no point in talking to them but you can't tell it's them until you do. Also card spirits are hard to find after the first one and you have an extremely slim chance of actually getting them to join you.
The only reason I play them over the GBA game is because the GBA players have shit AI and not a whole lot of variety in their decks.

It's worth playing. I enjoyed it quite a bit actually and played through it twice. It's not a perfect game but it's still a good one. If you read all the hate it gets on /v/ you'd think it's absolute trash, which isn't true. It's a fun Zelda game with some of my favorite dungeons/bosses from the series.
