My xbox was plugged in when our house got struck by lightning, and ever since then if you plugged it in without actually turning the power on, the fan would spin up and make a horrifying racket but once you turned it on it would play normally. My older brother convinced me it was haunted and I stayed away from it. Later I found out he just wanted to play halo by himself.
