Not Sony. Square Enix. Sony already has an audience in Japan and their games sell moderately well there around 100k-200k units. They don't have to worry about losing a specific situation because their games heavily offset by the west with millions of sales. Square Enix still depend largely on Japan for sales and while their mobile games are hot cake and make over 50% of their revenue, console games still make a fairly big contribution of around 40-45%. If Square Enix lose that certain audience after Japanese games on home consoles, they're going to lose a lot of money because it won't be offset by the growth in mobile.

It's no coincidence that people have to cherry pick 'bad' things about the console to try and paint it as a bad console. Xenoblade Chronicles X is the best open world game ever made, for example, and alone is worth getting an entire console for. But no, having slightly iffy character faces means it's not even worth considering… despite how terrible Fallout 4's animations can be.
Devil's Third is great, of course, and I'm really looking forward to FEXSMT.
The problem is, of course, game journalists and how they need Nintendo to do poorly in order to sell what they're supposed to be shilling to consumers. People would hold Bethesda to a higher standard if it became common knowledge that Xenoblade Chronicles X had a far bigger open world than Fallout 4's, or COD if people learned that Itagaki figured out a way to make a cover based first person shooter with strong emphasis on quality melee combat, or that Splatoon rethought the way shooters work.
Wii U is the best console this gen. There is no denying this. A few duds like Game & Wario and Ultra Smash do NOT stop games like Splatoon and Mario Maker from being practically endlessly replayable, and I genuinely feel a real sense of community due to the new Miiverse function.
We have two of the best shooters released this gen (As exclusives) The best open world RPG ever made, an easy to use creation tool, great platformers, great party games, great fighting games, great racing games… the list goes on and on and on. W101, Bayo 2, Fast Racing NEO…

Bought TLoU and the gameplay was nowhere near as fun as Bloodborne. It really was more of a "cinematic" movie game than an actual gameplay-focused game. How did it get so much praise I don't understand.

Pretty much. I actually find more interesting shit randomly at the play store than on steam nowadays. You open steam and see things such as the latest meme game such as rock simulator, bread simulator, goat simulator or the latest artsy fartsy indie 2d retropixel early access kickstarted feminism simulator. At least at the play store I find those cool card games every once in a while.

I like the ambition and theme of "fantasy meets reality". It may be a mess when it comes out, but I'm honestly more excited to play it than anything else next year because I just want to know what the final product is after being this long in development hell.
I like Square more than any other developer because they're not formulaic like with Dragon Quest. Ever since 6, they've pushing the boundaries of tech and rpg design. Their stories have gotten shoddier starting with X, but I optimistically think 15 will deliver based on the trailers. It has the elements. The only think holding it back in my mind is if the world will be too empty and/or if the characters will be dull af.

They would have to solder on the entire PS3 onto your PS4 for that to even work.
The old hardware is too difficult to emulate mainly because of the archaic CPU and GPU.
The PS3 was able to emulate the PS2 pretty well, since it was such a gigantic leap in terms of hardware and they had some unboard support(PS2 Chipset) soldered onto the PS3 mobo at launch. They later found out how to emulate it by software, but only a few select titlesCFW pretty much lets you play all PS2 games using a PS2 PSN game as a wrapper
