the things you're shooting doesn't go down in one shot in the cases where they would go down in one shot, nor do they sustain a damage that would incapacitate them as such.

the shooting is depicted well, what is actually needed is a Bushido Blade for guns that isn't Counter Strike

>>

Sniper Elite only pretends to have those things actually. The bullets travel on a straight line once you actually take the shot, but it makes it look like it follows all that shit by taking it into account beforehand.

Also there aren't even any maps in any of the Sniper Elite games that are actually big enough for the difficult parts of sniping to become a problem.

So a pump shot gun has a magazine, it's generally a tube going along the bottom of the gun. Shells are put in the bottom of the gun, into the magazine.

Pumping the gun moves a shell from the magazine into the chamber, which frees up space for one more shell in the magazine.

Let's say the magazine holds 5 shells. I load in 5 shells like the post you responded to describes, and pump. Now I have 4 shells in the mag, and one in the chamber.

Or I could load a shell, pump (0 in mag, 1 in chamber) and load the magazine to full capacity, 5 in mag, 1 in chamber.

This is why in games with good guns reloading while the gun isn't empty gives you one extra round, because you're putting in a full mag + the 1 round in the chamber

So can you:

Or would it be easier/more efficient to load the full five, rack and then load one more?

I wish someone would take the ideas behind Receiver and actually make a complete game around it, obviously not Wolfire because I want to be alive to play it.
A multiplayer with receiver's mechanics would be pretty intense, every shot would have to be well measured, it would be great.

I think it's referring to the M1 Garand not having an actual fixed magazine. They remain attached to the clip which is designed to feed rounds into the chamber, and is ejected upon firing off all rounds.

Slavs just originate from a different cultural background, and thus have different design standards and work ethics and yadda yadda.
It's not hard to figure it out, but that ''soul'' is something quite amazing.

Oh and by the way, Metro series were made by Ukrainians that worked on the company that made STALKER. They also possibly made use of STALKER's engine in Metro as well, but don't quote me on that.

>>
>>322039950

>>
>>322030775
No game does it perfectly. I can only name a couple that I think has some good aspects.

Insurgency does aiming/recoil pretty good, as well as sound, not so much ballistics, since it's hitscan, though it's inconsequential at those ranges. Overall it just feels good and has some pretty good animations.

ArmA 3 is the best when it comes to bullet drop and penetration, no game comes close, but it's shit when it comes to other functionalities like bipod deployment (several years after release) and weapon handling. Without mods, of course.

Reciever has the best weapon interaction, not much else.

There might be some other games worth mentioning like Squad, but I haven't played it so I can't say. And I'm not sure if I should mention some other games simply for their sound/model/animation design.

Yeah, it's just a pity that they stripped out some really cool effects that made the gunplay even meatier like muzzle flashes casting full-scene shadows and a really bizarre DOF implementation that simulates gas ejection. The weapon animation quality was generally better as well. If you can be bothered I'd highly recommend replaying the original at some point.
