I enjoyed it, but the combat is kind of hit or miss depending on what you like. I was able to get used to it though. The map is a decent size, and overall it's a fun little monter collecting game.

Me too, that's why I picked the game up. The map will be familiar then. It's not really a pokemon clone even though they try to sell it as one.
The battling isn't really similar at all , but rather it's much more passive in that the monsters do what they want while you do the little screen touching games to enable them to use their stronger moves. Also, the story isn't about going on a huge quest either, but more like the solving comedic antics that happen in the town as a result of Yokai.

Not bad. The pic i took is quite old now. I've picked up some rare promo stuff like the preorder bobble head for wind waker, the 15k stars statue (pic related) and various things like wind waker's preorder box with the cover etc etc. It's a fun series to collect for, and with the 30th anniversary pretty much at our doorstep it's looking even funner.

Collecting Zelda is really fun, but I must say that I prefer to collect the games and not all the merchandise, and even with the games the passion is fading away now.
I didn't buy triforce heroes and I don't plan to add it to my collection, same goes with the lazy HD port of twilight princess, made only to sell a fucking amiibo.
Will ZeldaU be worthy? I hope so.

It's metal. I don't know what metal. But it's pretty heavy and the sculpt is good. Hoping Zelda U pays off. I enjoyed triforce heroes, the pvp was surprisingly fun.
I think TPHD will have gameplay changes to include the amiibo anyway. I just hope they're good changes. Time will tell.

DS games are only region locked if they contain DSi features, and if they do they're region locked only on DSi and 3DS. DSphat and DS Lite can play any game without restrictions.
In short, the only notable games you should worry about are Pokemon BW, Pokemon BW2 and Pokemon Conquest. Every other game is region free.

I wasn't dissapointed at all. I liked the atmosphere and enjoyed playing it, but I haven't finished it yet. I think I hit a casual filter and took a break, but then never returned to it. I will finish it eventually, though. Pretty sure it's made by Silicon Knights, so it's kind of like playing Golden Sun, in a way.
