>grew up poor
>rarely bought games, they had to be really good
>now have more money
>extremely critical of games, rarely buy single player games
How do I fix this? I haven't bought anything with steam sale.
i got rich by not buying singleplayer games
Think about your sensibilities
Ditto. But recently I got Rune Factory 4, a game I NEVER thought I'd enjoy, heck, I thought I'd hate it... and it totally rekindled my love for games, I fell in love with it.
I'd say buy something you never thought you'd play. Step out of your comfort zone.

The cheap prices of Steam and PC gaming in general are really nice and convenient, but there's a downside. If you can but 20 games for $10, you will value each one less, have less fun with it, and be more critical of it.
But if you saved up to buy one $60 game, then you will like it and play it to death and have more fun, even if it's not that great.

Don't force yourself to play games? You can use that money and time to learn guitar, buy a gym membership or learn a language with free apps.
Just learn to let go, you don't need to own every game that moderately interests you and you can't force yourself to have fun playing games.
I was the same to be honest
>Grew up poor
>Got a chipped ps1 for a birthday
>Used allowance for 2 weeks to buy a memory card
>Went to collage after school
>Spent every penny on games
>Have a shit load of games..
Cut to now
>Full time job
>60+ hour p/w
>Lodsofemone.dosh
>Buy game when I can
>Never play them
Currently sitting on an 800 game backlog I bought when I was poor
How does that work?
