I've only played dark forces II, and I can say it's a must play for anyone who loves retro-fps games.
You can basically choose between going through the game with just weapons, or go ham with your lightsaber and force powers. Or maybe mix them both.
It also has that amazing, and sometimes confusing, level design that FPS back then had.

I think people are little confused how this recanonization thing works. The story group isn't going to, at some point in the future, vote to make something canon that was uncanon. KOTOR will never be canon again. Future canon sources could maybe lift some things from KOTOR, reimagine some characters, or whatever but KOTOR isn't ever gonna be anything but Legends.
