Memes and shitposting aside, what does /v/ REALLY think of Project M?
Personally, I think it's a great Smash Bros. game, and an even more impressive mod.

It's the best Smash game and it's a shame that it's dead.
I like it and I appreciate what it did for the most part. Mechanics aside, All-Star Mode, Turbo Mode, and Blastless Zone Mode made the mod for me. I do think it needed one final update to be "finalized," but not much anyone can do about that now, but it's still fine.
Maybe a bit off topic, but I didn't like all the ambiguity that revolved around its closure. I do think the announcement and discussion could have been handled better.

I really like it. Good character variety, all of the roser is fun and somewhat balanced. I still overall prefer Melee, but the variety is sometimes a fresh of breath air since I dont play that many characters in Melee
