Why are Steam achievements so unrewarding compared to Xbox achievements?
>>321967928
because most are stupid milestone achievements like "Killed x000000 enemies"
Because they contribute to a score that is visible pretty much everywhere. Whereas steam ones aren't.
Because you get the satisfying 'bleep bloop' sound and the notification when you get a Xbox achievement, whereas on Steam or PS4 all you get is a silent pop up in the bottom of your screen reminding you that you're spending the prime of your life collecting meaningless video game trophies. Alone.
Xbox points to me were/are almost a bragging right. Even 100%ed a few games, and it was a nice way to replay without getting bored.
Steam points don't have the same factor at all for me.

>grind away at a game for hours to hear a sound effect
Because you can unlock all of them instantly with a program. PC gamers can't be trusted to not exploit something when given the chance.
