I can't disagree with you on this.
It goes REALLY into it, and shows you how far depression can go, and what you can do to work your way out of the pit. And it keeps you entertained while doing it.
It isn't a video game but it's a damn good show.Even if I think it could've ended in Season one without ever continuing, Season 2 is good, too.
i play a lot of visual novels when im sad.
also if you're sad a lot you should try volunteer work at a hospital or something. it'll take the focus off you.

I can't play games when I'm sad. Oddly enough I can't drink alcohol when I'm sad either. Literally the only thing I want to do and care about doing is sleeping.
I'll sleep for up to 36 hours sometimes. Not straight through of course but when I wake up I'll do nothing but try to roll over and go back to sleep.
When I do finally get up I feel better but still not happy necessarily. Just less sad enough that I'm actually sort of able to start getting on with my life again.

Games that often suit my mood when I'm depressed are things like Uncharted 2, The Force Unleashed, Bioshock Infinite. They all have a kind of tragic, romantic feel to them that I'm drawn to. Anything dark or bleak is good though, and violent stuff like Space Marine and Gears of War work as well.

SA is, very much so. Lowtax made SA originally as a blog-like website where he could spout his own opinions and post his stuff. When he Originally Opened up the SA forums, he didn't really have much intent with them
SA forums weren't always 10 dollars to use, either. The reason you need to pay money for SA is because there was some guy a long time ago who made a bunch of random accounts and shitposted (like, naming accounts "triangle" and spamming threads with triangles) So he added the paywall to make that idiot go away (but never took it down afterwards)
Lowtax is also very verbal about how much he hates Libertarians and people like Alex Jones.
SA is very obviously a very niche website that has existed longer than 4chan. It was never intended to be a social media website centered around expression
