It got too popular with the wrong people for /v/ to ever like it, but it's a solid game regardless.
Just a lil, but it's pretty solid. Nowhere near as overrated as Undertale.

It's alright. I'm mostly tired of people who discover how much I like Mega Man telling me to try it.
It's only cosmetically Mega Man on an extremely shallow level.
Maybe a bit, but that doesn't mean it's bad. I enjoyed it.
Plague of Shadows was fantastic though.
It's alright. Nice animations and music. Difficulty is all over the place though, and relies too much on trial and error.

I just assumed that it fused with all bones, not just the calcium-based ones.
It's good for an indie game, but it's design needs some fucking work. I agree with what that one anon mentioned. Some of the sprites clash. Like I get it's trying to be retro but, off the top of my head, those fucking wolf enemies in Polar Knight's stage look so fucking out of place with that fluid motion and palette.
Also back to the level design, it's not very good. Again I'm remembering that part in Polar Knight's stage where you climb up the ladder, there are three of them and there's that little fucking bat enemy waiting to come down on you and you cannot avoid it unless you drop and use a phase locket or some other Relic. Doing a no-Relic run and that shit comes up. I mention this because I bought the game like 5 days ago and have since tried for the Feats. And the game is NOT designed well for speedruns, that fucking one hour and a half Feat, FFS.
I just keep thinking back to Tropical Freeze and how it was designed well but there were so many little shortcuts you could use. You didn't have to worry about random enemy actions or being pixel perfect with your run.
AND GOD IF SHOVEL KNIGHT ONLY HAD SOME KIND OF UPWARDS ATTACK, WHAT WERE THEY FUCKING THINKING. I MEAN I DID ALL 24 CHALLENGES, BUT REPEATEDLY TRYING THESE LEVELS NOT DYING BY SOME BS AT THE TOWER IS FUCKING HELL. I have these levels practically memorized

It's a good game, not too original in gameplay or design, however it is well designed, and isn't a mess. Should cost $10 instead of $15 due to length. Good free DLC though, so not too bad.
