I have recently tried destiny and let me just say, any borderlands game is superior in every way possible. Not saying borderlands is the best fps or anything, but when you compare the two side by side, borderlands wins.
I was very disappointed in destiny.

Pretty much this. I have to admit that Destiny has sorta nicer gunplay feel (sounds, recoil, etc.) and while that's a big thing, it hardly saves it from the fact that everything else in it sucks so hard that it's hard to believe.

OP, I have a PS4, Xbox One, and a high-end gaming rig and I can confirm that Destiny sucks ass. At first when I played it I was amazed by the game, but then playing 10 hours it becomes repetitive with absolutely no story. The PS4 Destiny disk is still sitting on my shelf for a year

And the lack of match making, which is really just a bad design decision.

It has too little content. 1 raid at launch, 2 in 3 expansions. Very little replayability in strikes because they JUST now started doing Strike-unique loot, and the quality is strikingly all over the fucking place. The strikes need to get to raid quality in structure, more than 1 boss and more non-shooty sections.
The gameplay is great, I had a ton of fun but between content which is week 1 shit there is nothing to do in Destiny. There are starting to do events like the racing one but who gives a shit.

Dude trust me. You're not missing shit. The fucking game, while functional and fun runs the course of every other mmo. Once you've "beaten" what little story quests they offer, you're left running raids and weekly quests in order to get new gear.
I've no idea how TTK may have improved or fucked things up other than hearing that if you don't purchase the new dlc, all the top end shit you had at its release is now garbage and the gear you are limited to is useless.
IF you must play it, go to a friends house and try it that way. Believe me you're better off not trying this game.

ehhhh not really. Since its Bungie the AI dodges, rolls, dives and shit to avoid you. BLands doesn't have any of that, there is just way more variety of enemies in the game.

These are right and fine. To be fair though, as far as itemization goes BLands is shit when you attempt to do PVP because of how retarded it is. Destiny was partly made with PVP in mind so everything has to work in a specific structure.
Destiny quests are dog shit and with their SPACE MAGIC they didn't attempt to do anything interesting with world design outside of Venus.
Not sure on gun variety either too, Destiny has melee weapon/s that have a unique ability for the 3 elements, and the exotics are way more interesting than the BLands super rare shit. BLands super rare shit is just broken as all fuck not really good game design or fun.
