Do i need to have played The Witcher 1 & 2 in order to enjoy this game?
>>321912280
No it's not absolutely necessary.
>>321912280
No but 1 and 2 are great games, even though 1 aged like milk
>>321912280
Not really
>>321912280
Don't think so but it helps.
Instead of making a shitty thread just go google it you dumbass

>even though 1 aged like milk
the graphics were already outdated when it came out in 2007
>only 4:3 resolution available

Games can age in other ways besides graphically you dumb millennial. It's still a great game though.

I'd say if you want to really enjoy the story, yes. You're better off reading all the books as well after or before playing TW1 and TW2. But at least before starting TW3.
Anyway, both TW1 and TW2 are still worth playing now so there's no reason to skip them. It's not like anyone plays The Witcher for the gameplay, so even if its lackluster it still doesn't really matter.

Yeah

TW1 will be a little hard to get through. I remember playing the non enhanced edition back in.. 2008? and I dropped it during act 1 because it was such a mess. I later retried with the enhanced edition and just kept pushing through. Even with the awkward combat the story line feels very rewarding and interesting.
Plus, you'll appreciate both TW2 and TW3 combat more.
