are you using a toaster?
>>

No, I can also emulate most PS2 games

>Support ePSXe by buying Android version

Fitting. The windows version is a piece of abandoned trash while they continue updating the Android version to the point where it's near Mednafen levels of accuracy with visual enhancements available.

Funny how one of the best PSX emulators is exclusive to Android.
>>
>>321896595
That's the opposite of funny
>>
>>321897173
I have an Android TV (Nvidia Shield) as my primary emulation box anyway so it's all good for me ŧbh.
>>
>>321897597
I thought FPSE was better for and android ps1 emulator?
>>
>>321897769
I don't think so. I haven't used FPse but I know ePSXe Android is far more accurate and I can't imagine FPse having better enhancement options.

Maybe FPse requires less processing power, but that's irrelevant for me when I'm using an Nvidia Shield TV (Which has a Tegra X1, the most powerful mobile chip).
>>
>>321893381
But ePSXe is terrible. Isn't PCSX-R better?
>>
>>321893381
>still using epsxe
Might as well just use Zsnes while you're at it.
>>
>>321898710
so what's better

Just as i expected,it runs like shit on the same laptop i use to emulate psp and ps2/gamecube
It can run Einhander tho wich is good since Epsxe can't
>>
retroarch plus overlays and other shit like that if you want it to look as authentic as possible for free on widescreen monitors.
There's a lot of tutorials on youtube for setting up Retroarch and how to make it look authentic, but I found it to be too autistic for my needs, it requires a LOT of work and setup

I had the exact same problem until i realized i was being retarded.

You mean once you close the emulator? because that happens to me too, kind annoying but eh, i can live with that.

What's the best emulator to play Tail Concerto on? ePSX is fucking terrible and PCSX-R is buggy. I can't into Mednafen.
>>321898989
>xebra
Supposedly the download comes with trojans.
>>
>>321904302
Mednafen is literally set the bios path in the .cfg file, drag and drop the .cue file of the game on the exe.
>>
>>321904132
Some sort of spastic aren't you.
I set it up press start and it skips the intro and then refuses to work, set it up again, press ok and nothing works

>it runs like shit on the same laptop

Why are you playing videogames of any kind on a laptop?
>>
>>321904483
that's kinda shitty to be honest my family, i like to have my games on a separated folder and be able to select them from the UI,but now that you told me how to actually run games on mednafen i'm going to try it out.
>>321904778

No, I mean stretch.

You aren't gaining anything but there's no reason to waste screen real estate to get the same results.

I don't know, I'd rather have a game run at its original aspect ratio than having it stretched out to fit a 16:9 screen.

yo, how do you configure the analogue sticks on ePSXe, been playing around with the settings but doesn't seem to work, although the only game i've tried is metal gear solid

Guise, what´s the best ps2 emulator? Can I use my ps2 discs just to test it? I don´t know if it will run on my shitty pc, so I was wondering if I can test first putting a ps2 disc on my pc. Maybe I´m saying the stupidest thing ever, but I´m not into these things

PCSX2
Yes
If you have a shitty PC, it probably won't run, but give it a try anyways. You'll need to download PS2 BIOS files (or rip your own BIOS) for PCSX2 to work though.
>>
maybe someone can help me here
ive got two versions 1.6 and newest 1.9 emulator, and 3 versions of breath of fire 3
in every instance on both emulators my game freezes either upon entering momos tower or during the rocket launch at the end of momos tower
i cannot find a solution, and this is the only rom i have ever had a problem with
>>
>>321908119
What the fuck is a BIOS? There´s any link with the emulator already configured?
>>
>>321907953
PCSX2 is the best right now ( just like how PJ64 is the only one you can use to emulate N64) so don't expect perfect emulation, and you can play your ps2 discs with it.
Depends on how shitty your pc is, a shitty computer by today standars will run some of the least intensive games.

I like to usually emulate it unless it has a lot of FMV like Fear Effect because FMVs look even shitter on a computer. Or some games are just super hard to emulate properly like Silhouette Mirage.

>>321907953
yes you can use your actual ps2 cd on a regular dvd player. Use PCSX2 and use the Plugin option to get it to read off your CD. But direct CD play is prone to more stuttering around loading areas. and get used to googling shit and devoting time for trial and error to figure out the best configs for games.
>>
>>321908231
Try not being a complete retard who needs everything spoonfed and type "PS2 BIOS" into google.

Oh. Well I had never used Retroarch before so when I went to try out Parasitve Eve on it, it took me way too long to actually figure out how to run it. Thought I absolutely had to have a .cue file so I downloaded one and tried to use that but it wouldn't work. The download from Emuparadise came with a .ccd and I used that instead and it ended up working. Felt pretty silly afterwards.

I don't really see the issue with ePSXe. It's the easiest and quickest to set up and use, plus it works even on the shittiest of toasters. I don't really see why it's comparable to using ZNES, considering other better SNES emulators are also as, if not easier, to use, while this isn't the case with Playstation emulators. That, and people are usually able to point out ZNES's flaws, but I've never seen anybody actually do the same with ePSXe. So again, what's the problem here?

Is this the emulation thread?

In my case this works perfectly. Using a USB adaptor and a real PSOne DualShock by the way, so it could be different for your controller.

What is the best emulator for Sega saturn? Yabusa?
>>
>>321910407
For me, I just don't like the overall UI and design. I think it might suffer from some technical/emulation issues but I haven't used it in so long I forget. Snes9x is just superior in every way as far as I know, and /v/ gets antsy when people show support for inferior products.
