Just finished this. Can we talk about it?Frankly, I'm impressed that the finale managed to effectively combine the retardation of the first three Layton game endings.
How the fuck am I supposed to believe that nobody managed to just bump into any of the invisible machines?

I was really wondering how they were going to explain away the magic. I knew it wouldn't be easy but somehow I was still disappointed.
Regardless the game was pretty fun. I liked the music and the court cases. The layton bits were grew tired, but maybe I've just played too many layton games and they are running out of ideas.

I love this series for its puzzles, but jesus the stories have always been diptarded.
>>321887737
Even if it was utterly retarded, i was still hella touched with emotional part of situation.
It was great game.
>>321889071
this, i loved the game, even the final trial was great

Weren't most of the machines on top of houses?
A lot of characters in that game shouldn't have been stuck in the crossover.
Especially Barnham. They should have been mainline.
>>321890987
i hope they bring him to mainline, he was the best
>>321889071God damn that part with the letter.

>DUDE INVISIBLE MACHINES LMAO
It was retarded but I was expecting it to be something on that level of stupidity, so I just laughed it off.
It did make me want to go back to the Layton series and play the prequel games at least, which was very good as I'd run out of phoenix wright games to play.
Pretty much the only thing I wish was better about the game is if they made it more challenging. The layton puzzles were all easy, and the Wright parts had hardly any evidence to choose from, so it was straightforward (other than group cross examinations, those were a good idea)

I doubt it, I think he's gone for good.
Shame, he was one of my favorite characters in the entire franchise.
>>321891330
everything involving belduke was ultimate feelsthe fact that he really died was even more painful
How was Luke able to see an operate a machine?
>>321887737
Found it fun overall, asspulls aside the story was entertaining and pretty fine.
>>321891486
I think that the parts from both sides were easier than in the regular games in case that people unfamiliar with Layton wouldn't get stuck with PW parts and vice-versa.

Young gentlemen are quick to learn

Ridelle is best girl
Why are people not more disturbed at the fact that the entire town was a government sponsored program on experimenting with mind control on a large mass of people using drugs
Seriously that is some fucking dark shit
Do all of layton games have over the top explanations on how all of this was possible.
This game was retarded but I still kinda liked it
>>321893180
i seriously thought that at any moment an angry mob would go against the storyteller and espella would have to stop them from hurting him
>>321893180
because everyone was a-ok with it in the end
reminded me ofunwound future and how it didn't take clive's rampage very seriously
>>321893379
yes, that's part of the charm of the series
i was ok with the asspulls but the sudden supercancer of the storyteller and it being instantly resolved was like so unnecesary and the stupidest thing i´ve ever read in a game
>mfw the soundtrack
why does nobody talk about this shit oh my god

Only part I liked was the golden case. It was worth it for that alone.
Why would a man so handsome and so based want to sign his life away into hypnosis?
>>321896597
i bet he had a tormentous love life, or was simply alone, i wouldn´t imagine somebody with a functional family or friends going to labyrinthia
>tfw whenBezella wasn't the cat
I was sold on that theory from the start
>no magatama bullshit
>no mood matrix
>no fucking granny
As a person who likes AA1 the most I was glad as fuck.
>>321897941
i thought darklaw could turn into a cat and she was also bezella
>>321897434
yeah but there were kids in the town too, meaning they were either brought or born there
>>321898567
>women with abusive husbands leaving with their children to start a new life in labyrinthia
woah
