I've been doing this for as long as cards exist. Event cards, cards from free games, etc. They don't give a fuck, since every card sold is pure profit from them. It costs them nothing to give you cards, and they make at least 2 cents per transaction.

Just use an Android emulator. Or if it's cost effective enough, buy a dirt cheap Android phone and never activate it. Just use wifi and install the app on there. I got a decent LG that runs a bunch of emulators for like $25.
I agree that it's silly for them to prevent trading though. You should be able to request an opt out and then be granted it 3 days later rather than every single trade being stalled. That way it's the users fault if they get screwed.
