What games let me play as an intergalactic bounty hunter? Metroid is all that springs to mind, and maybe TOR and KOTOR. Are bounty hunters fun in TOR? Do they fit the story in Kotor? Is there anything else?

Fuck no. Combat (especially for ranged characters) feels like a godamn chore. Every class is plagued with boring abilities, and boring enemies to use them on.

Bounty Hunter story starts off decent, gets a tiny bit interesting, and then nosedives into mediocrity. Had a potential to examine really cool aspects of bounty hunting in the SW setting, and proceeded to do fuck all with it.
Like everything to do with TOR, avoid like the plague.

I remember having fun with it. Lots of gadgets, decent shooting, a jetpack to play around with, etc.
The later levels were pretty merciless though, as they went from flying around exploring crowded cities and hunting crime groups to taking on entire military/cultist compounds.
