Why is USFIV so loved? The one frame links make it so fucking hard for new players to play and the extremely complicated super moves for some characters make it pretty ridiculous as well.

I can have fun playing Third Strike, Persona, and any other fighting game with friends in the first two hours. SF4 was a fucking crawl where everything was slow, janky, and the game randomly dropped frames and was an optimized piece of garbage. None of us had any fun. I understand that fighting games are made to be played at the upper levels, but other fighting games that are super complicated are at least fun at the low level and in the first couple of hours too.

I'm not usually like this, it's what the upcoming release of SFV makes out of me.
The beta was absolute trash, I don't know a single competitive (actually competitive) player in my national community that doesn't think SFV is an awful competitive game.
It's like being forced into LoL as a Starcraft player or being left behind because of the dosh Capcom throws at the tournaments.
If you want to play a game casually it's not my right to hate on you, sorry mate.

You have no idea of what you're talking about, SFV doesn't go back to the basics at all.
SF2 was all about footsies and mindgames in neutral, SFV won't have too much of those since footsies are fucking trash in that game and you don't get a lot of damage out of them.
Sure people with good footsies will still do well overall but the pace of the game is a snoozefest and will likely stay that way unless they make some pretty big changes to the latest beta version.
It's much more similar to a much slower version of SF3 without parrying, strong pokes, universal overheads and anything else that makes the game interesting and the characters stand out.
The Vtriggers are a fucking joke and barely change the game apart from a few exceptions(E.g. necalli, Vega, Gief), they're mostly just a damage enhancer.
The Vskills are borderline worthless on many chars such as Vega and Cammy too.
Don't even get me started on the 10 million anti projectile options in a game with almost no relevant projectiles (so far).

Almost all players tell newbies to practice basics and leave combos for later. Some scrubs try to argue, but usually they get told hard. But most people don't listen and just practice flashy stuff. I'm pretty sure people told you to start with basics and practice hard, but you didn't listen.
