i stopped playing before the first splatfest, so that means I didnt adopt any strategies or even use every piece of gear because they didnt exist yet (i.e. nes zapper, added maps and game modes.)
I won't go back to that trying to play with people on the other side of the world because, I'll spell it out for you since you didn't seem to get it: Nintendo + Internet = Bad, America on Nintendo servers + Japanese on Nintendo servers = Lag. I have a lan adapter and it doesnt help.

What bothers me about japs is that they can kill me behind cover, while they're still in their ink, or before they even start shooting.
Jap chargers are the worst because half the time you won't even see their sight move towards you until you've already been killed by them which lures you into a falls sense of security, thinking they haven't noticed you or preoccupied with something, before you randomly explode.
It is my personal GOTY, aside from maybe Unsertale and TW3.
