I just got back into it after quitting around 2007, and I'm having more of a blast with my new account than when I played OSRS. Seems like a ton of the quests got revamped, and I recognize most of the world but also most of the differences; the 10gp fee for the AL Kharid west entrance is gone, for instance. Evil Genius, making a base and sticking it full of traps is always cathartic, also since the visuals are so stylised it doesn't look like shit despite being more than a decade old. Everytime I play it I notice a new little animation or some minor attention to detail I missed originally.
The only problem is after a few times you figure out how to defend your base so well there's no challenge defending it, or any complication getting it to that point since simple trap combinations and doors are incredibly effective, big traps are just for fun
