It's late enough in the year that we can do this, I think.

Undertale
Bloodborne for me
Really enjoyed MGSV as well, Fallout 4 was disappointing, Dying Light was surprisingly fun.
Axiom Verge
I'll just assume Yakuza 5 counts as a 2015 game for a westerner.
If it doesn't, fuck, Bloodborne?

MGSV
was disappointed, but as someone who likes good mechanics and game play over anything else, my GOTY.
MGSV has a shitload of issues, but it's just so fun that I can't help but put it as my GOTY.
Dragon Quest VIII 3DS
Terraria 3ds. No, for real. I already loved Terraria but it controls amazingly on the 3ds, the touch screen and physical controls really make it amazing, I've easily clocked 100+ hours and it's only been out for probably a month at most. It's fucking perfect.
MGSV, since it was the only game I played this year that was released this year.
Decent game, disappointed that there aren't cutscenes explaining the plot every mission.
Witcher 3 is a pretty safe and boring bet.
But videogames don't achieve greatness on always betting safe.
MGSV, Bloodborne orUndertale - spoilered because I haven't played it yet -are games we (probably) need more of.
MH4U should be mentioned aswell.

Bloodborne.
It was pretty good on release and became god tier when I got the DLC. Only thing they still havent fixed is pvp, it's pretty weak but still tolerable when I feel like it.
Witcher 3 was close second due to how exceptional the character writing was.

second
The Witcher or Xenoblade X or Undertale. I haven't beaten Xenoblade but I'm really enjoying it. I'll probably get to TPP sometime next month.
Age of Decadence for sure. No other game this year was made with as much love
Crypt of the Necrodancer, hands down.
