I fucking love this game and from what I remember it had good reviews but no one ever bought it in my town. Max Payne 3 was on the shelf for almost two years (walmart, target, gs, ect)

It needed an expansion/DLC with long shootouts and less cutscenes. I actually preferred the narration from max during gameplay to the cutscenes in terms of tone and storytelling too.
The environments/levels were pretty basic but the gunplay and movement felt like some of the best I've seen in a third person shooter. A combination of that gameplay with bigger, unseperated levels was exactly what the game needed.

it was load of shit as i remember, played it for 10 minutes as everyone else cause of cutscenes but even during those rare gameplay moments i remember it was utter shit on any real difficulty, cause you'd have to basically camp behind cover and shooting people in slo mo once enemies put their head up from behind cover, once you did that famous max payne jump in slow mo you'd land on the floor and remained there until everyone shot you dead cause your character simply wouldn't get up, so it was, get to cover, way till somebody pops out of cover, slow mo kill him, watch cutscene forever and then quit

There is no fucking level design just cutscene then killing a group of guys. Anyone who says this game is good is obviously a retard whos first game was on the xbox 360.
