Do you prefer emulation or the actual hardware?

Actual hardware, most of the time.

Man, I need to stop pushing Japanese Chrono Trigger off, I've just been busy playing games I've never played before. I suppose it's just as well though, it'll be an easier, more pleasant experience now than it would have been two years ago.

Actual hardware where possible.

when nostalgia-fagging actual hardware, emulation for everything else
>>

emulation. better resolution.framerate. thers no advantage to original hardware assuming the game can be emulated properly
>>
It... really depends on how strong one's computer/laptop is.

My laptop is okayish, but it can't obviously run PS2 or games from that generation to the most recent emulatable is that even a word generation.

Who knows, maybe my opinion would change if I could just find a fucking decent rig. But as of right now, I'm okay with what I can emulate at the moment.

I don't fucking care if the game is emulated on a PC or if i play it on a console.
You fucking autists.

The one i can read

how is it autistic.

Actual hardware is almost always better, but I mostly emulate because it's convenient and free.

Actual hardware + flashcart if I could.

Emulation does have its perks though, especially since I don't have an upscaler.
>>
if the emulation is 100% accurate with no skips or stuttering, then emulation is a hell of a lot more convenient

can't fucking stand stuttering though, even occasionally. it ruins the whole experience and I would rather play on actual hardware if the emulation isn't literally perfect

PSP emulation destroyed SNES and PS1 RPGs for me. I just can't play them on a big screen anymore. Doesn't matter if it's on the console or PC.

Being in bed, playing Suikoden II was just too damn comfy. Emulation needs to be on handheld for me now.

That's exactly how I would say.

>tfw want to buy a gameboy advance SP for the nostalgia but don't want to spend money

emulation just isn't the same

I emulate because DS1/DS2/DS3/DS4 are all better than the SNES controller because the SNES controller feels mushy.
