hey there my nigga, you're going to choose 'Ally' right? It's not like I'm gonna pick 'Betray' or anything.;)[/color]
>>321773383
Why, yes, I must agree. Isn't everyone allying mutually in order to escape together the most... logical choice? There is no reason for either of us not to choose "Ally".
Is it true there's another ending in VLR if you beat all the puzzle rooms on Hard? If so, what the fuck happens? My save data was corrupted and I am NOT going through that last puzzle room again.
Well, of course! I have heard of the prisoner's dilema and I know the best option is that we all pick Ally!
>>321774653
Not another ending so much as an epilogue that teases the third game. You wake up as an unknown person after the events of the true ending and talk to everyone else in the facility, and they talk about future plans.
>>321775018
Ah, so it doesn't really matter then? I'd rather leave ZE3 to be 100% a surprise for me.
>>321775251
Just look for it on youtube it's like 20 minutes only.
>>321774990
>lol you betrayed me? What an asshole fuck you
>lol you didn't betray me? What a chump haha fuck you
>>321774990
If you know about the prisoner's dilemma, you'll know that the logical option is for both to betray.
>>321776553
The logical option is that both betray, the better option is that they both ally.
>>321776708
Which is as much of a dream as a proper communist utopia.

I don't know about that, I feel like the less people involved, the more you can count on man's inherent good nature over man's inherent dickery.
It SHOULD be a simple matter for two individuals to work together on something like this.

because ZE fandom likes to hype shit up even though every story since Ever17 is the same fucking shit.
>trusting some one called Dio.
come on son.
>>321773383
Did he ever pick ally at any moment?
>>321778927
Yeah, he allied with Luna.
>>321778753
Come on, man! Ally! We're all going to do it!
>>321778927
I think the one time was allying with Luna.
I really hope they don't use that grimdark art style from the teaser screenshot release a while back. It looked shit.
>that one scenario where dio allies
Most shocking moment in the entire game
>>321779247
>when you see Luna in the distance and the music does that jump scare thing and zooms in on her
I fucking knew from getting true end that she wasn't the killer but for some reason that spooked me more than anything, including the 999 style scene where everyone is butchered.
>>321778396
Ushikochi does a good job foreshadowing the intricacies in the story even if all the stories are the same.
>>321779459
Yeah but which part of VLR was your favourite? Mine was the bit where time loop shenanigans combined with your perception of your character being misleading come together to avert a disaster that is set up by another mastermind.
Whoops I meant 999
Whoops no I meant Ever17
I like Uchikoshi but it'd be great if he stopped trying to top his last game with even more ridiculous twists and just do something different.
>>321779920
You don't stop any disasters in 999, you don't have any misleading perceptions of your character in Punch Line and the mastermind part would be a bit forced there, the only one of those things that apply to that S;G route he wrote is the time looping shit.
>>321779920
VLR is the only story where the MC has memory of switching between routes.
>What do you mean "last time?"
Also
>I just....know.
>What do you mean you "just know?"
gets repeated by Sigma and Phi like 10 times god damn
>>321780246
So June dying and ceasing to exist doesn't count as a disaster? Crisis would be a fairer word then.
I haven't played Punch Line but my point holds for VLR, 999 and Ever17 which are all works on which he had the most control. S;G is just one route but as you said, it has time loops.
>>321780574
Not true. In 999 you technically remember things from other routes even if you don't jump from one to another. It's the same basic idea though. In Ever17 you essentially have to relive the same route again due to a myriad of coincidences and plot contrivances in order to force a different outcome. It's been a while but basically if I remember correctly the whole thing hinges upon the player (technically MC) having memory of a time loop that they shouldn't have.
>>321781558
I'm not even bashing this stuff per se. I was a huge fan of Ever17, was happy to see some of the same ideas get widespread recognition from 999, but ultimately felt that VLR was a bit too much of a retread.
>>321781558
Punchline is an anime though, it will have a game that supposedly extends on the plotit isn't very good anyways, I agree that E17 and VLR are very similar but not on 999, and S;G well is not his work he just wrote a route for a non-canon spin-off, time-looping is a coincidence I guess.
Sure, seems like a good idea.
>>321783216
I love you, Quark
>>321783216
Was he really Dio's son?
>>321783778
That's just a theory because Dio was almost kicked out of the cult for fucking some woman.
I can believe it, because Dio's backstory hardly had much relevance on what goes on besides the cult itself.
Hey anons, you want to leave me in charge of the food, right?.
