I've never played a single Killzone game, but have the consoles to play them all.
Is it even worth going back to the first and playing them all? Or can I just play Shadow Fall without missing out on much?
Is the story one long continuation? Is it even worth paying attention to?
Also: how much le stronk independant womyn XD is in this game?

Killzone 1 was fun, I didn't like the rest
I played 2 and 3 when they came out and honestly don't remember a thing, except how aiming in Killzone 2 was torture.
Can't you get them in one of those <$15 game bundles?

This. It's not a great game by any stretch but did some nice stuff.
Killzone 2 did literally everything wrong from there on.
It felt like shit, looked weird, and often too dark, the characters were all absolute dogshit, as opposed to the rag tag likeable bunch in the first.
The first one is an OK but, but I don't recommend it. However, I do recommend you don't play the rest of the franchise.
1 is okay but you can skip it.
2 has great atmosphere/gameplay but is really hard to control.
3 is pretty much more of 2 but with better controls and worse story.
Mercenary is fantastic.
Shadow Fall is shit.
2 > SF > 3 > 1
First one has pretty clunky gameplay but it's an alright scifi story with a predictable plot. Horrible frame rate.
Second and third are more polished gameplay wise but the stories are just bad. Playstation Move works surprisingly well though.
