I can't really be arsed to read all the uninformative bullshit in this thread but exclusives aren't anti-consumer, you've been brainwashed by a pro-consumer extremist ideology and have completely missed the point of why exclusives exist.
Exclusives exist on a base level to sell consoles. Companies like Sony, MS, and Nintendo, commission games exclusively for their platforms to entice consumers to be their platforms.
Generally speaking, the more sales there are, the more games a platform gets.
A lot of the time, these exclusives are made in house by the companies themselves. Creating a game in housevand then putting it on a competing platform makes no sense. That game no longer becomes a reason for the consumer to by said companies console over the competitors.
Thus these games stay exclusive to sell consoles.
Other times, a company will fund a third party developer to create an exclusive for them.
Now, simply because that developer is third party and isn't under contract to the big name companies doesn't mean the exclusive game they make should actually be a multiplat. You see, games need a lot of funding to be made, and sometimes, the games a third party dev wants to make won't get that funding through third party publishers. Thus these games aren't going to exist.

Basically what happened before and during the PS360 gen is the rise of PC gaming and the mass migration. Those who had been raised by consoles were now turning their backs on them yet in such a way that instead of seeing them as platforms that supported game development for over a decade, they were now seen as mere obsolete pieces of hardware designed by greedy companies to hold back their gaming experience. This propelled the already growing subculture of PC superiority as we know it today.
What PC migraters failed to realize was the consequences of damaging consoles market share for it was to directly impact the capacity for the industry to fund and develop games in the wake of rising game budgets. Good hardware doesn't buy good games and many thought by moving forward in terms of consumer hardware would move the infrastructure that supports software development forward too, however, they simply didn't care to understand how that industry works and why it doesn't cater to the consumer with the best hardware and also how it ultimately puts them at a disadvantage provided their goal is to receive software in the first place. The the relationship consoles and software developers share has since became demonized and attacked for simply operating under a sustainable model of financial and structural support that works for both the developer to provide software, the console manufacturer and ultimately the consumer.
As games continue to evolve they will simply continue to work hand in hand with console manufacturers who will adapt to the changes with hardware iterations toward the end of their life cycles. It is this infrastructure of complimentary support that actually holds the gaming industry together and drives it forward while also ensuring developers stay afloat and remain profitable and continue to make the games.
