Far Cry games feel better with a controller
racing games and platformer
games like assassins creed are as good with keyboard as with controller
Anything that's not a point and click, RTS, or FPS (unless you've been using a controller you're whole life and you can keep up with technically superior m&kb). Platformers are good, racing games are good, adventure games are good, etc. RE4,and the Souls games pretty much require a controller, and emulators (Dolphin, PCSX2, nulldc) work best with controllers, since mapping mouse movements to analog stick directions can be wonky.

Metro 2033 would be absolutely fine with a controller. Any single player shooter is 100% acceptable to play with a controller. It's only a disadvantage in PvP, since you can't turn as quickly. If the look sensitivity isn't to your liking, change it. Controllers aren't hard to get used to at all.Especially if you hold them like a retard like I do, so you can aim without having to sacrifice the ability to do other functions at the same time

It looks retarded I mean, but yeah, it's definitely is the most efficient way to use a controller. Every time I've explained the claw to someone, they say it's stupid and that it hurts their index finger. I've always found it super useful, especially for online shooters on 360, and I can't imagine why anyone could bear to sacrifice taking their thumb off the fucking stick you aim with to do things like reload, melee, jump, and change weapons.

I got a steam controller for christmas, how do I make non steam shit like cave story work? I bound the face buttons to the standard zxas that most jap metroidvanias use to no avail, tried abxy as well and nothing, even though the stick and start button are recognized. to I just have to trial and error until I find the keys? it's obviously recognizing the controller but not the face buttons for some reason.

just got one, really takes some getting used to but the trackpads are way more accurate than any controller's analogs. the big thing is training your thumb to be as accurate as your wrist is swinging a mouse around; with finer precision on the much smaller field of the trackpad. I just played 20 minutes of my Shit Courier in NV and cleared out Primm without total reliance on vats, and that's the first game I've seriously played with it.
