Everyone knows this board's userbase is embarrassingly young. So be honest, /v/.
Did you ever own one?
>>321708764
I had a fucking 2600.
>>321708764
Still own the original SCPH-30001. Got mine freshman year of high school.
>>321708764
My day 1 ps2 is still working.
>Did anyone on /v/ the video games board own one of the best selling and most loved consoles of all time?
Nah probably not.
No. I wasn't a fucking casual or a nigger, or gook
I still play on mine.
yeh, christmas morning along with a copy of spyro: enter the dragonfly
Mine is still standing here, but it's broken.
>>321708916
>most loved
>loving a corporation
Sonyggers are mentally retarded they're not people, they're basically slaves
>>321708937
neckbeard then?
>>321708764
Here's a question:
What's the best quickest and cheapest way to get a hacked ps2? Which model is best? Which method of installing hacks is best? Is it smarter to just buy a ton of dvd rw's to play games off of or an hdd?
>>321708916
There are people on this board who have never owned a physical copy of a game.
>>321708764
Yes, had a phat that died on me after 4 years, bought a silver slim to replace it and kinda got out of playing it shortly after.
>>321708764
>Did.
I have two and I'm about to play DMC3, so there. Not even a sonygger; some games are decent.
>>321709045
Did i say corporation? Please show me where. Even the most cynical fuck on /v/ had something to play on the PS2 stop shitposting.
>>321708764
Jak and Daxter taught me to learn how to love analog sticks, something the PS1 never could (other than for racing games).
>>321708764Well I'm turning 30 next year so
Remember that goddamn network adapter that cost $50 and barely worked?
Resident Evil Outbreak was a legit game that came out at the wrong time.
>>321708875
I can still remember feel of the rubber ribs and the cold metal switches. Fuck yeah.
>playing on pic related
>this is the first thread I see on /v/ when I open it up
>I have no face
>>321709045
No one said anything about loving a corporation
>>321708764
>Everyone knows this board's userbase is embarrassingly young
Yes, that's why the Ps2 was the first system of the average /v/ user.
>implying this is any sort of age filter
the average newfriend probably considers gen 6 their childhood
Got a fat PS2 for Christmas the year it launched, but it stopped reading disks eventually and I replaced it with a slim.
For the first while I pretty much only used it for PS1 games though, because I'd never had a PS1 (had an NES and N64 before the PS2).
>>321709438
Most people on this board were born in 96.
I had a PS1. Played loads of crash bandicoot on that.
>>321708764
Yeah, my neighbor had the original and when I finally got around to it I bought a slimI had a SNES but completely skipped over the 5th gen consoles and will always regret what I missed
>>321708764
Yes, the original fat PS2
I also owned and Original PS1, Megadrive/Mega CD with Snatcher on disk, Master System, Amiga 500, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC 464, A Spectrum 128 and motherfucking Nintendo original Game and Watch'
All when they were originally released, I am THAT old.
>>321709504
I was born January 1st 1901 fyi
>>321708764
I bought it it on launch day.
>>321709335
And in a huge shocker, he plays fag shit.
I have the fat ps2 but I need to sort out a scaler or something so I can actually play it. Don't have a TV anymore.
I have 3 of these in my garage, seriously.
A hong kong version, a chipped version and a regular version some fat fuckboi decided to give me for free.
>>321708764
Had both at different times.
How much do PS2's go for nowaday? Sony stopped selling them a couple years ago.
>>321708764
I had the fat one. I bought a bunch of random bullshit (Ape Escape, We <3 Katamari, War of the Monsters, SSX3, shit like that).
>>321710357
Underage detected
Still hooked up to my tv to this day
Gets regular use thanks to free mcboot.
>>321708875
>There are people on /v/ that are pushing 50
>>321710859
New ones run for around $275. $75 for used, which is eh. I could get a used Gamecube at my local movie/game shop for like $50.
>>321710915
>free mcboot
Alright you need to explain this to me. Are you playing copied games? On disc or digitally?
>>321710938
25 should be the minimum age. Not that there is a way to enforce that. Anyone under 25 should fuck off.
>>321711082
I burn them to disc usually. Sometimes I just throw them on the hard drive.
>>321708764
got one in my backpack right now
hoping to play ace combat 4-5-0 after i beat yakuza 5
>>321708764
My first system was a PS1, I got the fat PS2 after and played J&D, and was a retard that didn't know you use the analog stick to move for a few days.
I got a slim PS2 after when my old fat PS2 stopped reading every disk besides Jak II.
I still have that PS2 in fact, it doesn't work anymore however.
>>321708764
no, I had a gamecube
>>321711768
same shit happened to my silver gamecube
i was on like a 24 hour marathon of paper mario ttyd and the shit burned out
no game but that paper mario copy works, and even then paper mario only runs for like 2 hours before shutting off
>>321708764
I owned one and I'm an 18 year old millenial scum. This means literally nothing
>>321708764
I had a PS1. I had a Sega Megadrive.
>>321709335
My very own clone. I like this set up.
>Tfw I want to rebuilt my old game collection (lost a SNES/PS1/PS2) in a flood, but it triggers me deeply to buy used consoles.
Fug man
I had a Sega Genesis, PS1, PS2, and PS3
>>321709045
You can safely say the ps2 was one of the most loved game consoles of all time
Loving a console =/= loving a company
>>321708764
Yes, I played it so much the laser burnt out
>inb4 clean it
I cleaned it 4 times, took it to bits and everything.
Also first console I owned was an Orange N64, fuck I regret selling that for a GBA
>>321712184
used consoles are great as long as they are in good condition. I like fixing them up and cleaning them.
>>321712115
Way to showcase your faggotry.
>>321712389
lets see your set up
>>321709335
COMFY
>>321710915
>free mcboot.
Still never figured out how to do this
>>321708764
Still have it, works like a dream. Haven't yet got the red screen of death.
All my original consoles work, none of the old ones have shat out. Meanwhile my first 360 shat out only a few years in, not a red ring, just refused to run.
>>321708764
>grew up on the original Xbox
>had all the Exodia pieces in middle school
>sold them to some rich bitch in my class
>gets a PS2 with the money
>has both consoles growing up
>>321708764
I own one.
>>321708764
It's either embarrassingly young or lardass old. Make up your mind.
>>321708764
I was born in 1756.
I'm not Mozart btw.
I've owned a NES, Genesis, SNES, PS1-4, Dreamcast, and Xbox 360.
My handhelds I've had a Gameboy pocket, Gameboy Advance, 3ds, Gamegear and PSP.
>>321708764
Two.
One was a gift from my father and came with Wacky Racers & Rayman M.
After that one broke down, I was given a Silver slim version with some MotoGP game.
Yes and I still do
I have a launch fat PS2. It still works, but the disc drive motor is halfway busted so you have to push it in and pull it out at about the halfway point. Runs games and everything else just fine though.
For comparison, my launch PS3 died a year ago from very little use, and I still have my original Game Boy from the mid 90s that works fine.
>>321708764
You can rotate the PS emblem on the disc slot
>>321713550
>I'm not Mozart btw.
Nice cover up attempt
How fucking dumb do you think we are?
